车辆用电设备的电流不同之处：

·车辆上的用电设备和蓄电池需要的是直流电，但交流发电机发出的是三相交流电。利用硅二极管的单向导电性能，整流器由6只硅二极管组成三相桥式全波整流电路，把交流电转变为直流电，并县为单转子提供激磁电流（9管、11管发电机）；

·整流器由整流二极管、励磁二极管、正极板、负极板、汇流条等组成；

·按整流二极管数量的不同，发电机可分为6管、8管、9管及11管交流发电机等。8管交流发电机在中性点增加了两个二极管，也称为中性点二极管这样使发电机的三次谐波在中性点叠加，可将发电机的输出功率提高。9管极的交流发电机增加了三个功率较小的激磁管，这样可以用简单的充电指示灯来表示发电机的工作情况省去了结构相对复杂的继电器11管的交流发电机增加了两个中性点二极管，三个激磁二极管。
